Simon says hello. : 0

Eh, okay, so BP finally convinced me to get an LJ account. I haven't kept an online journal/blog for probably a year and a half now. We'll see how long this one lasts. I don't even think anyone reads these. : P
My day has been extraordinarily uneventful. I just bought an overpriced bagel sandwich and threw away half of it because I couldn't stomach the grease, which seriously pooled around it in the wrapper. The hot chocolate was pretty good but nothing special. There weren't even sprinkles on the whipped cream. ;-;
My class doesn't start until 6:30. I have an hour and a half until I should go find a seat. Second from the front row. Far right seat. Oh, it's been so long since I knew you, front right seat. So long since the days of 250-people art history lectures. So long since the days of blending into the crowd and taking advantage of huge grade curves on tests. :'D How I look forward to occupying your hard, uncushioned, stained putrid self again. Your glaring red-orange color reminds me of rotting tomatoes in sizzling summer sunlight.
My teacher is the sort of man who is almost interesting but not quite there yet. Occasionally he'll stop in the middle of a sentence, and the entire class will hang expectantly on his one breath. The moment will last for a seeming eternity during which all two-hundred-and-fifty of us manage to forget our names, the date, and the point of the lecture. Then he'll suddenly continue, the dam breaking loose, and two-hundred-and-fifty pens will hastily scratch down disjointed phrases that make little sense in the scheme of things. Arrows, doodles, and notes to one's friends punctuate the margins.
I hope the exams are multiple choice. : /
So--drawing class actually went fairly well today. Last night I tapped together eighteen pieces of paper to make three large (human-sized) drawings. I finished charcoaling them before drawing class, and then I spent the actual class time constructing a miniature model so I could figure out my composition. In the end my teacher vetoed one of the figures, so I now have two strangely floating creepy people--a man reaching upward and a woman slumped midair, arms hanging limply and awkwardly downward.
My jeans are now covered in charcoal, as is my face...and nose...and hair...and feet...and shoes...and backpack...and I think you get the point.
I'd have to say the most interesting point of the day was hopping up and down off tall stools to hang/adjust/draw on my drawings, which eventually I put up on the wall. I couldn't even reach the top of them, they turned out so large. My teacher and I took turns hopping up onto the stools and fixing or tacking things. Funny how that huge image is now a small rolled-up tube little wider than my arm. : P
All right, so I'm just dragging out the death of this post. I can see it flailing around already, begging me to put it out of its misery.
*axekill*
Until tomorrow, ciao.
